This is a nice kit of the space shuttle with its solid rocket boosters and fuel tank built and displayed on a base. If you’re looking for a desktop model, this will be a good addition to your collection. I picked this up at Hobby Lobby in 2008, and when I visited one of their stores last week, they still had several of the kits on the shelf.

The tank and boosters are molded in off-white styrene, the orbiter is molded in white and black, and the base is molded in black.

The base measures 4.25 inches square, and has corner mounts that could be used to install four small LED lights to illuminate the shuttle. A molded-in battery box and brass connection pins are also included. All that’s missing are the wires and the LED bulbs.

Decals are included for the Atlantis, Endeavor, Columbia, Discovery, and Enterprise, along with national markings and a decal for the base.

The combination booster rockets and fuel tank is 7.25 inches high by 2.25 inches wide. The orbiter is 4 inches long by 3.25 inches wide.
