“Commander . . . . we have an unknown DRADIS contact that just jumped in . . . . we’re receiving Colonial recognition signals . . . . “ Two Vipers, led by Captain Lee “Apollo” Adama fly out to investigate, and discover the Battlestar Pegasus, commanded by Admiral Helena Cain. A Mercury Class Battlestar, the Pegasus is the only other Colonial warship encountered up to this point in the TV series.

The Pegasus is cast in light gray resin, and is mostly free from voids. There is one small spot on the starboard side of the bow that looks like a gun emplacement or sensor pod that has been blown out by a bubble, but it’s an easy fix. The lower “jaw” of the head section will also need some work as it is warped downward at the outer edges. A few minutes working with hot water should take care of that.

A double-sided instruction sheet is included, showing the eight steps in the construction of the ship. Two illustrations with call-outs for decal locations are on the bottom of the second page. The decals are done by JBOT, and include the stripes for both the upper and lower landing bays, the Colonial Fleet logo for the top of the hull, the Pegasus name and registry number for the landing bays, and the grid details that are present on the sides of the “head”

The completed kit measures about 9.5 inches long.
