This is one of the old McDaniel’s Models kits that was released in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. The ship is classified as a Perimeter Action Class ship, but it was known as the Akyazi Class. The ship is in scale with the old AMT/Ertl Refit Enterprise kit as issued back in 1979 when Star Trek: The Motion Picture was released.

The kit is cast in resin, although my copy had been worked on previously and was primed when I received it. It has 11 parts that appear to be free of voids or bubbles. A basic decal sheet is included with the kit, but aside from the name and registry numbers, no other markings are included.

The completed kit measures about 14 inches long and 7 inches wide.
