I don’t who made this, but I picked it up from a private sale about 5 years ago. I was starting to buy 1:1 scale prop replicas, and this one was offered for sale for $10.00. I had the old plastic Playmates version, but I was looking for something a little more solid.

The kit is cast in brownish-tan resin, and has what looks like a bit of mold release agent that’s dried into some of the detail sections.

I have to say that this kit is going to require a lot of work to make into something decent to display. The emitter nosecone is cleanly molded, but the main body of the phaser has a huge pour stub that has to be removed. The part is solid-cast, and the pour stub is about ¾ inch thick by 1.5 inches across. Adding to the difficulty is that the section has to be angled so it meets the surface of the emitter nosecone.

The prop measures about 8.5 inches long.
