The review sample of the kit is from the 1991 reissue.

The kit is molded in white and is free from flash or sink marks. The model itself is very basic and is sparsely detailed. The interior is viewable only through the front windows, and includes only the instrument panel and the interior seats. Builders would be well advised to do research on the original filming miniature and full-scale mock-up in order to add in the missing details.

No crew members are included with the shuttle, and the main door is molded into the port side of the hull. If the interior is to be viewable, lots of additional details will need to be added. Figures that are 1:35 scale could probably be modified for use as crew members as they are close enough to the scale of the model for display purposes.

The completed kit measures about 7 inches long.
