This was one of the kits in the Revell Changers product line, a companion to the Robotech Defenders line that was released in the mid-1980’s.

The Changers line was based on ‘Mechs that could change their form. As a result, Trigon changes from a triple-legged ‘Mech to a wheeled tank and back again. I classified this kit as being "Intermediate" level because of the careful construction required to make sure the kit is able to change between modes. One wrong area of glue application and you'll have a model that's locked in place forever.

The kit’s parts are molded in light blue styrene that has engraved panel lines and are mostly free of flash. Clear sections are included for the cockpit, which also features two pilot figures.

The completed kit is about 5.5 inches tall in ‘Mech mode.
