The Deep Space Military Transport USS Sulaco appeared in the movie “Aliens” and later in “Alien 3”. According to Wikipedia.org, the Sulaco is a Conestoga class starship that is used to transport United States Colonial Marines. It is mentioned in reference materials that the ships of the class are capable of carrying up to eight dropships and have life support capability for 90 crew and up to 2,000 passengers (during short hibernation trips).

The 1:2400 scale kit is molded in dark gray styrene with a mixture of engraved and raised panel lines. Two sets of decals are included to portray the ship as it appeared at the end of “Aliens” with black lettering and at the beginning of “Alien 3” with white lettering.

The overall kit is basic in construction, and will provide a decent portrayal of the Sulaco. The detail is pretty simple, given the 1:2400 scale of the kit, so builders should not expect a lot of super-detailing on the kit as it is packaged. Additional details can be added if the builder so chooses.
