The armor of the Red Knight of Vienna is typical of the type used in the middle 15th century for the tilt or joust. Every line of this armor was made functional, each surface shaped to deflect blows from the opponent's weapons and to protect the wearer. A huge crest was sometimes attached to the helmet during this period, which identified the knight and his origin.

The Monogram styrene kit is a reissue of the classic kit issued by Aurora in 1958 on behalf of Crown Plastics.

Monogram’s kit is molded in light gray styrene. Features include a removable helmet to show the detailed head. The model has a lance and a target pad. A display base with historical information is also provided.

The completed model will stand about 8.75 inches tall.
