The Alert Class kit is another conversion for the 1:1000 scale Polar Lights TOS USS Enterprise kit. As such, parts from the Polar Lights kit will be needed in order to complete the Alert.

The parts included in this kit are the main hull, the engineering section with integrated warp nacelle pylons, and an optional sensor support. From the Polar Lights kit, the builder will need to supply the warp nacelles, Bussard domes and interior sections, end caps, fins, intercooler sections, and the bridge dome.

The kit’s resin parts are cleanly cast in gray resin and are free from voids. The hull section does have the holes for the Polar Lights navigational clear parts, but with the hull being cast in one part, the clear Polar Lights parts can’t be used. The best thing to do would be to fill the holes with super glue and then sand the sections smooth.

The decal sheet includes windows, hull markings, banners, and names and registry numbers for three ships (USS Alert, USS Phalarope, and USS Surprise). A template on self-adhesive paper is also included in case the builder would like to add supplemental ablative armor for the warp nacelles (similar to that used on the Akyazi Class ships).
