The Burning Gundam is from the television series Mobile Fighter G Gundam.

According to the Mecha Anime H.Q. website, “Burning Gundam” doesn’t appear in the listing of the Mechs in the series, but the model number (GF13-017 NJII) comes up as a God Gundam. The website states that Neo Japan created the Shining Gundam (GF13-017 NJ) to use in a fight, but that “they were also developing the God Gundam for use exclusively in the Finals. This new Gundam's ability levels were much higher than the Shining Gundam's, and its Hyper Mode made it the most powerful Gundam in the entire Gundam Fight. The God Gundam's armaments included the standard vulcan guns, two machine cannons and two beam sabers.”

This kit is a High Grade kit in 1:100 scale. There are over 100 parts molded in blue, yellow, red, white, dark gray and clear pink. The parts are cleanly molded and appear to be free from any flash. Armament choices include a beam rifle, saber, and shield.

As of the date of this review, HobbyLink Japan lists the kit as “out of stock”, meaning that there are no kits in stock, and that no orders for this kit have been placed because no customers have requested it. HLJ states that “Since we have not reordered this item, we don't have any current information about whether we can get any more.” Examples have been seen on eBay, and the review sample was purchased at WonderFest in 2007.

The completed kit stands about 12.25 inches tall.
