The Millennium Falcon, the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” first graced movie screens in 1977 in the original “Star Wars”, or for you younger folks Episode IV: A New Hope. It returned in 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back and 1983’s Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. I know because I saw the movies in the theaters when I was a kid.

F-Toys’ 1:350 kit is beautifully done. It is one of five kits in F-Toys’ Set #5, and was a brand-new tooling for this set. The other ships in the set included previously-released kits in 1:144: X-Wing, TIE Interceptor, Naboo N-1 Starfighter, and Eta-2 Jedi Starfighters (Episode III). There was also an sixth “secret” item but I don’t know what that is.

The Falcon comes partially assembled in light gray styrene, with a small amount of weathering present. None of the “traditional” blast damage is present, so you can add weathering to your heart’s content. The parts include: main ship, two (2) cannon mounts (upper and lower), sensor dish and sensor dish mount. A three-part stand is also included (base, arm and a ball & socket mount that plugs into the bottom at the forward landing gear location). The guns, sensor dish and sensor dish mount are on a small sprue, so careful removal is a must to keep the parts from breaking.

There are some gaps in the neck on my review sample, and the upper and lower gun windows (central hubs) are loose and can be removed. Some trimming of the mounting pins and a little glue should solve that issue.

The assembled Falcon is 3.5 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and about half an inch tall.
