Ok . . . I know he’s not really sci-fi, but he’s still cute. He’s Scrat, the acorn-obsessed rodent from the Ice Age movie series. I picked up this kit, all one piece of it, at WonderFest a few years ago, and it was an impulse buy. It was Sunday afternoon, and the vendors were offering good deals.

The model is solid-cast off-white resin, and it’s heavy. I’m guessing over a pound. The detailing is pretty good, with different textures for Scrat’s fur and his tail. The acorn looks, well, like an acorn is supposed to. His tongue is even hanging out to the side, just like he’s shown in the movies.

The kit measures about 5 inches tall and makes a neat addition to a model collection. I’m gonna have to get around to painting him one of these days.
