This kit is a follow-on to the version of the Bat-Pod released under the banner of “The Dark Knight” in 2011. The 2012 version of the kit is based on the version seen in “The Dark Knight Rises” as ridden by Catwoman (portrayed by Anne Hathaway)..

This kit is a larger scale (1:18) than the older model (1:25), so the kits will not look alike on the shelf. The older model has a completed length of about 6 inches, while the new one is 8.5 inches long.

As with the original version, the kit’s parts are molded in black, and rubber tires are provided. The main difference is that a resin figure of Catwoman is included, with a total of six parts (torso, head, two arms, two legs).

This will make a nice addition to any model collection, but I wish the two versions could have been in the same scale.
